I have been given the wonderful opportunity to review some very high quality and affordable organic skin care from Twelve Beauty.  Their serums have recently been featured in Harper's Baazar Beauty Hotlist 50.  
Twelve is a high performance skin care collection produced in Italy, which consists of six unique, innovative products suitable for stressed, sensitive and allergy-prone skin,

Personally developed by Pedro Catala, an independent cosmetologist and pharmacist with specialist expertise in botany and the science and technology of cosmetics. 
The entire Twelve collection contains only Eco-Approved ingredients and is completely free from parabens, sulphates, silicones, petrochemicals and glycols. All formulas are plant based  and meet stringent requirements on green chemistry.  They are also naturally scented with floral extracts and traces of essentials oils and use only natural emulsifiers. 
The twelve beauty name originates from the 12 high-grade ingredients incorporated into the range.   Each product contains a selection of these ingredients, including White Genepi extract, Imperatoria leaf extract, Mallow Flower extract and Butterfly Bush leaf extract.

Ideal Moisture Level Serum

I am a big fan of Serums and  I was delighted with the Ideal Moisture Level Serum.  Designed for dry or mature skin, it has a very light texture which absorbs easily, locking moisture into fine lines and wrinkles.    It creates a protective barrier against dry air and harsh weather conditions.   I like the way it doesn't leave any oily residue, but at the same time intensely moisturises and protects, this seems to be an art which only a few can master.  
The serum comes  in a glass bottle with a glass dropper applicator, which makes application even more enjoyable.       
I used the serum daily on face, neck and decollatage.  Can be used on it's own or in combination with one of the mositurizers from the 12 range, especially the Complete Regeneration Night Cream.  
The scent is light, soft and pure.

This night cream is luxurious, silky and smooth.   Apply this cream after you shower, before you go to sleep and you will wake up with soft and supple skin.  It rejuvenates and restores as you sleep, contains an exclusive combination of ingredients which are rich in unsaturated fatty acids such as linoleic acid and phytosterols, these are essential in regenerating the epidermal barrier.   This cream manages to deeply moisturise without feeling heavy, it melts into skin when applied.
The scent of this cream is so light, you could almost say it's unscented, but there is a very slight hint of natural botanicals coming through.    The Night Cream comes in a 
high quality thick glass jar.

I love the twelve beauty range and how the products are designed for all types of skin, from hormonal skin prone to breakouts and mature skin needing a bit of help smoothing out those lines and wrinkles.   I would highly recommend this range for anyone prone to allergies.     
The packaging for the product range is safe and eco-friendly.   I prefer the glass packaging used in this range,  over plastic for my beauty products.

Over the past few weeks I've been trying out a product called La Mav Intense Moisture Nightly Repair Nectar.

Skin treatment serums are used as part of a facial treatment when you go to a Beauty Therapist or to a spa.  A serum contains highly concentrated ingredients, delivering vital nutrients and vitamins to help rejuvenate and heal and to treat skin ailments. They absorb into the skin quickly and more deeply for a more intensive effect. Formulas vary, but most serums are designed to smooth, soften, reduce the appearance of dark spots, hydrate, brighten and help to combat sun damage.

How to use a beauty Serum – Apply a drop of serum to your fingertips and massage it gently into your freshly- cleaned skin in the morning and at night, then follow with your usual moisturiser. You don’t need to use more than a drop or two to cover your whole face and neck. You will likely feel an immediate change in your skin the first time you use a serum – it may feel softer,smoother and perhaps a little tighter. But most formulas promise a visual change in four weeks, especially if you have fine lines and wrinkles,redness or large pores.

Should I use a serum in addition to a moisturizer, or do they take the place of a moisturizer? Moisturizers act to protect your skin, where serums may be less protective, but more therapeutic. You can use a serum under your moisturizer for additional skin benefits. However a serum can be applied on its own at night, if you have oily skin (instead of a moisturizer); or during weather conditions when you want to forgo a heavy moisturizer.

How long does a serum last? – Many people apply too much – a little goes a long way. So a bottle should last longer than the same size daily moisturizer because you should be using less. We find serums generally last the longest of any product in a skin care routine because 1-2 pumps is all you need. If your skin feels sticky, you’ve used too much.
