Australian Bush Flower Essences - Love System UPLIFTING BODY LOTION - MORNING CITRUS DYNAMUS - Review

Australian Bush Flower essences are a healing system using Australian Native Plants.   Researched and developed by Ian White, an Australian Naturopath and Herbalist.     The Love System was created by Paul Loveday who spent 7 years developing this healing line of skincare.
Each essence is developed to help enhance and heal different aspects of your body, mind and soul.
The Love System is a unique body care system which incorporates these healing essences into organic body and skin care products.

Organic Sun Ripened Citrus is the beautiful refreshing scent you will notice radiating from this Uplifting Body Lotion.   It is a light, natural citrus scent which is perfect for starting your day off with a positive feeling. It is fresh, clean and uplifting, but at the same time really gentle on the senses.

The texture of the lotion is very light. When I applied the cream, it glided on smoothly and it absorbed quickly into my skin,  leaving it feeling very smooth and soft.

Suitable for all skin types, particularly for sensitive skin, as the cream is a perfect light consistency and is completely natural and organic.  I have been using it every day as an all over body moisturiser and it has kept my skin feeling hydrated and smelling beautiful.

The lotion contains the following bush flower essences, designed to invigorate your body and awaken your consciousness. Each essence works on balancing your emotions and helps to create enthusiasm, openness, gentleness, trust and  acceptance.

The Flower Essences are -  Baknsia Robur , Billy Goat Plum, Five Corners, Flannel Flower, Mulla Mulla Old Man Banksia, She Oak and Wisteria.

I've already been using the Love System Purifying Cream Cleanser and am so glad to have this body lotion added into my Love System collection.

Uptown Spa and Salon, one of the best places to relax in Toronto - Guest Article by Nick Stokes

It has been a long time since the first beauty salons were opened. The first documented establishments of this kind started appearing at the turn of 19th century. As the time passed by, it became an enormous industry, that combines all the products and services that help us stay fit, rejuvenated and fresh. Whether you like it or not, the idea of beauty has been incorporated in all the aspects of our society. It became an enormous industry that includes hair and nails care, body care and fitness as well as plastic surgeries. To be honest, some of these services and procedures are needed in order to alleviate the daily stress. The rest just might be a passing fab. When we talk about city of Toronto, there is one place that does it better than its competition. This is Uptown Spa and Salon, place that helps you feel good.

The salon is positioned in one of the commercial building in York Mills Road, in North York. This is a great place for shopping and services, one of them being of course a beauty spa and salon. As many parts of Toronto, it is easily accessible by public transport and it has a lot of parking space around it.

As soon as you enter this place, you are welcomed with friendly smiles. The staff surely knows how to make a first impression. As you go to the room for a treatment, you can notice that the space was recently decorated. The walls are white and gray, making them official but not too dull. As many service companies, it always comes down to service itself. Or if you want to rephrase it, what you are getting for your money. The employees are really pleasant and they are doing their best to assist you in any way possible. They are not only doing their job, but at the same time they are giving you advices how to take care of your body. This represents a full service in every possible sense.

The services which this salon is providing are numerous. They can take care of your hair, nails, face, body, skin. Whether you need a hair extension or microdermabrasion, this is the place for you. Similarly like the space, the equipment is also brand new. The products are top notch, usually the latest and the best in its respective field. For those who like multiple services that this salon is providing, there is always an option of taking Beautiful Bundles. These combinations of treatments provide you a discount in comparison to multiple individual services.

Individuals are often judgmental. They like to pin attributes to people that they know. Usually, the first impression depends on the look. When you like a person or not, is usually based on his appearance. Many things in our lives are subjected to our perception of beauty. If you wish to feel good and desirable, visit Uptown Spa and Salon. They will make you feel like a movie star.

FIVE FOODS THAT WILL GIVE YOU FLAWLESS SKIN - Guest Article by Sheila Zhou

USANA’s Proflavanol C100 supplements help nourish your skin from within to protect and defence against cellular skin damage and assists with firmness and elasticity. The antioxidant formulation combines grape seed extracts and vitamin C to help maintain healthy skin and improve skin-aging appearance.

USANA’s Gentle Daily Cleanser is a soap-free cleanser to eliminate dirt and impurities without drying your delicate facial skin. A unique formulation of pure-plant extracts deeply cleanses and hydrates the skin, leaving it moist and supple. This refreshing gel is a great way to revive your complexion at the beginning and end of each day.

Australians spend over $8 billion on skincare products every year, but when it comes to achieving a truly flawless complexion, it’s vital to nourish your skin from the inside.

According to Sheila Zhou, expert Scientist at USANA, leading producer of high quality supplements, “Most people don’t realise diet is a major factor when it comes to having healthy skin. Older cells are constantly shedding and being replaced by new ones, meaning nutrients and hydration is essential to support this fast paced growth process. By consuming the correct foods, paired with a regular skin care routine, you can count on being blemish free.”

Ms. Zhou shares her expert tips on which foods will help you achieve flawless skin:

1.       Chocolate. It sounds too good to be true doesn’t it?! Many of us have grown up believing chocolate causes break outs, but it actually contains numerous minerals such as calcium, iron, potassium and magnesium which are great for your skin. Also, chocolates rich in flavanols provides dietary antioxidants that confer photo-protection from within, and helps keep everything plump and elasticised.

2.       Turkey. Turkey meat has a high level of an ingredient called selenium, a mineral that plays a major role in the health of developing skin cells. Recent studies also show selenium has the ability to prevent sunburned cells from forming on human skin. So make this meat more than a Christmas classic, and enjoy the benefits all year around.

3.       Sweet potato. When it comes to vegetables that banish blemishes, sweet potato is the ultimate choice. It is loaded with retinol, a derivative of vitamin A, and this particular ingredient works to speed up the cell renewal process. Not only does this act as a natural exfoliate, but it also nourishes the skin underneath, a win win!

4.       Sardines. Whether they’re fresh or canned, sardines are a great way to prevent age spots and wrinkles. This particular fish is loaded with anti-inflammatory omega-3 essential fatty acids and iron which help the body transport oxygen to skin follicles.

5.       Spinach. Green vegetables are known for their health benefits, but what most people don’t know, is that spinach may help to reduce the risk of skin cancer. As it is rich in folate, vitamin A, C, E, and carotenoids, spinach may help boost the skin's natural defence against damage caused by UV rays, helps with DNA repair and cell regeneration. So make sure you slip, slop, slap, and spinach.

Along with these foods, Sheila Zhou, USANA Scientist, also recommends the following products to help your skin look and feel its best:

Picture
USANA’s Rice Bran Polisher is a gentle exfoliate that contains natural fruit enzymes, beta-hydroxy acid, and rice-bran beads. It removes impurities and dead skin cells while aloe and other natural emollients nourish and refresh, leaving skin smoother and clearer.

Vitamin supplements should not replace a balanced diet. Use only as directed. Always read the label.

USANA Health Sciences was founded in 1992 in the United States by microbiologist and immunologist, Dr Myron Wentz.  The products are backed by an accredited team of scientific experts and USANA has been awarded a 5-star rating for its nutritional products – the highest of any available in Australia in the Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements (4th Ed) by Lyle McWilliam, an independent Canadian biochemist.

Kiri Organics Natural Dark Tan  - Review

Picture
Kiri Organics Natural Dark Tan is a self-tanning creme made from certified organic and 100 percent natural ingredients.  Created in New Zealand. Some of the ingredients sound so delicious they're almost good enough to eat - the creme contains an antioxidant rich organic raspberry water base, moisturising avocado and macadamia nut oils, native NZ kawakawa extract, soothing elderflower, chamomile and Vitamin E.

I’ve been testing this tan out for a while and found that it really suits my skin tone, it looks very natural.   I have very fair skin and the tan turned out to be a beautiful sun kissed colour.   Depending on how often you apply it, you can have a light tan or a dark tan.

I tried it all over, on my arms, legs, stomach and face. I’m always very careful at first in case I end up with orange streaks, but that didn’t happen with this tan.

The light textured creme blended into and absorbed into my skin very easily, no hint of leaving anything behind on the the bed sheets, it takes around 8 hours to develop.

It also has a lovely, light natural scent of certified organic Geranium Oil.

I'm happy to recommend this tan to anyone who wants a natural looking tan without the use chemicals or having to expose your skin to the dangers of sun-baking.  Kiri Natural Tan gives a very nice healthy looking tan and I now use it regularly.

It's best to exfoliate first to remove dead skin and moisturise your skin daily to help your tan last longer.

No synthetic ingredients and no animal testing.

You can purchase Kiri Organics Natural Tan at Chikii.

Purchase a full size gradual or natural dark tan and receive an exfoliating mitt for free!
For a period of two weeks only.
