Recently I've had the opportunity to try Kelapa Organics Baby products and found them to be of an extremely high quality, a luxurious and effective treat you can give your baby, at the same time knowing that they are completely safe for babies skin. From the very beginning of a baby's life we should be using organic products. Babies have such sensitive and delicate skin, it’s very important to use skin care products which soothe babies skin, rather than use products which contain toxic chemicals which can irritate, especially babies prone to excema and skin rash problems. Some ingredients, such as sulphates and parabens in mainstream baby products, can cause breathing issues and even enter into babies bloodstream and affect reproductive organs. Luckily we are living in a time where people are becoming aware of this and we have the opportunity to treat babies with the gentle and safe care they deserve. One of the major ingredients in the Kelapa baby range is certified organic coconut oil. I'm also a big fan of the Kelapa range for adults and I have found that the high quality of the coconut oil has made a huge difference to the nourishing treatment to our skin. Baby Shampoo and Body Wash My little nephew and I have been testing the shampoo and body wash over the last couple of months, trying to get a really good feel of the product. I have found this wash to be beautifully soft and gentle on his delicate and sensitive skin. The anti-bacterial and anti-fungal qualities of the organic coconut oil has helped to keep his skin moisturised while protecting from further irritation. There has been no hint of excema or any redness. As a shampoo it is very gentle and leaves his hair feeling soft, fresh and clean. It's so gentle it doesn't sting his eyes, but it thourougly cleanses. The soft and gentle scent of mild lavender is calming and perfect for babies bed time, I also love the two in one factor of a body wash and shampoo. Baby Lotion Made for babies, kids and even adults with sensitive skin, this lotion can be used all over body and face. It sinks in quickly and is very light and moisturising. The lotion spreads evenly and is soothing and nourishing. It's so creamy and nice, with a soft baby smell, but all natural. Incredibly soothing for my nephews sensitive skin and I love using it myself, I found it very good for after sun care and soothing sun kissed skin. With the nourishing properties of organic coconut oil and sweet almond oil, it's perfect for healing dry patches of babies skin. You can use this daily with the confidence that this is safe and moisturising for your baby. With the essential oils of lavender and bitter orange, the lotion has a calming effect on all of our minds at the end if the day! Kelapa, grown out of a passion to provide high quality skin care products, which are as gentle and as close to nature as possible is made and owned in Melbourne, Australia. Imbibed with rose stem cells and Australian bush flower essences, this certified organic intensive eye serum takes gentle and effective care of the delicate skin around your eyes. Eye serums are a product we should all have as part of our beauty treatment, when you start using one you realise what a difference it makes. To be honest if I’m in a hurry or feeling tired I have tended to skip this in the past thinking that a normal facial moisturiser would do the job, but it doesn’t. This eye serum is specially formulated for the very delicate skin around your eyes. It soothes dark circles, redness and puffy eyes. Rose stem cells support collagen production, helps skin regenerate and supports cellular function. The amazing difference with this eye serum are the flower essences, which each have an energy of their own, they have a subtle effect on the unconscious mind. The essences in this eye serum help with confidence, calmness, openness and help to balance emotions. This is what I love about the Love System products, it’s more than a wonderful beauty treatment. When I use this serum it helps to firm up the skin around my eyes. If I’m feeling overworked and my eyes and mind feel tired, this velvety cream helps make me feel more awake and refreshed. The texture is light and smooth and melts in easily, leaving a silky finish to my skin. The scent is natural and calming. Love System is a certified organic skin care range made by Australian Bush Flower Essences, winners of the Natural Health International Beauty Awards 2015. Another beautiful product I will be adding to my Love System collection! Available at Australian Bush Flower Essences. To describe this intensive night cream I would use the word exquisite. The cream has has an exotic scent, almost oriental. The texture is velvety and luxurious, but not thick. It absorbs into my skin quickly. This is something I have noticed many times with Love System products from Australian Bush Flower Essences. The consistency of each product has been just right, not oily, but feels luxurious. A gentle night cream, wonderful for sensitive skin, at the same time regenerates and replenishes dry skin. I have oily/combination skin and I love this texture, I apply it all over my face, neck and chest. It’s kept my skin soft and supple, as it contains so many wonderful antioxidants such as macadamia oil, calendula extract, arnica, olive leaf extract amongst many other anti-ageing essences and herbs. I feel like I’m treating myself to a mystical beauty treatment every night. The added benefits of Australian Bush Flower Essences help to uplift my mind, giving me a healing effect on my senses. I found that using the cream with these particular essences helped me to relax, open up creatively and enjoy the pleasures in life. After using the cream I found it very easy to relax in the evenings and start thinking of far away places! The bush flower essences it contains are - billy goat plum, black eyed susan, crowes, five corners, flannel flower, mulla mulla, old man banksia, she oak and wisteria. Love System is a certified organic skin care range made by Australian Bush Flower Essences, winners of the Natural Health International Beauty Awards 2015. If you would like to experience this unique night cream, it is available to order online at Chikki. Love System - Calm & Clear daily essence moisturiser by Australian Bush Flower Essences - Review6/27/2015 Another lovely product from Australian Bush Flower Essences Love System, winners of the of the Natural Health International Beauty Awards 2015. Researched and developed by Ian White, an Australian Naturopath and Herbalist. The Love System was created by Paul Loveday who spent 7 years developing this healing line of skincare. The scent of this Calm & Clear moisturiser reminds me of an exotic natural eau de cologne I used to wear, which must have also contained the beautiful neroli. The natural fragrance of the essential oils gives me a warm feeling and brings back nice memories for me. Designed for those who are always under pressure and feeling the stress of life, this cream will help to calm your emotions. For me it gives me a very pleasant feeling when I use it, it has a calming effect and helps to put me in a positive frame of mind. Not being a morning person myself, it helps to uplift my mood and gets me ready for the day. It’s a grounding scent, when I looked at the ingredients I noticed that it contained patchouli, which is my favourite essential oil. Don’t worry, it’s not over- bearing, it’s just a hint which helps to lift the spirits. It’s also the perfect moisturiser for winter and summer, it’s great for blemish prone skin. It absorbs into skin rapidly and works nicely under make-up. I think the texture of this moisturiser is perfect for young or mature skin. The healing bush flower essences it contains, are Black-eyed Susan, Boronia, Bush Fuchsia, Crowea, Jacaranda, Little Flannel Flower and Paw Paw. It also contains the skin saving ingredients aloe, sweet almond oil, avocado oil, olive leaf extract, papaya essence and many other anti-aging ingredients. Completely natural and doesn't contain any nasty chemicals. I combined using this cream with the Calm & Clear spray mist, which I used to set my make-up as well as an aromatherapy treatment. Available at Chikii. Australian Bush Flower Essences have given me the chance to try their gorgeous organic Love System Calm and Clear Skin and Space mist which is designed to clarify, tone and nurture your skin with soothing botanical bush essences and essential oils. It's a relaxing and calming spray mist to use on your skin or can be used to freshen the room. I love spraying it in my bedroom in the evenings and onto my pillows to relax my mind and help me sleep. When I first sprayed the mist into the air, the scent of essential oil neroli stood out to me and I love neroli. It’s an uplifting scent which combines very well with other scents. The bush flower essences it contains are - Black-eyed Susan, Boronia, Bottlebrush, Bush Fuchsia, Crowea, Jacaranda, Little Flannel Flower and Paw Paw. Some of the essential oils are - lavender, neroli and patchouli, 3 of my favourite oils and they blend so well together. This mist is designed for those who find it hard to wind down, who worry a lot and have a lot of ‘mind chatter’. I found that it eased me into a nice sleep. Some days I also carry it with me to work when I’m feeling mentally fatigued or run down, the crisp light scent helps me to think more clearly. It has the ability to help me relax, but also clear my thoughts. The spray also soothes skin, as it contains aloe, chamomile, arnica and echinacha. I have also been using the mist to set my make-up in place! I have been using this with the Calm and Clear moisturiser, which I have found to be a light and lovely cream for daily use and helps the beautiful aromatherapy scent to linger on my skin even longer. This spray is a great example of how nature can be worked into skincare and emotional health without having to turn to products containing chemicals to help you look and feel better. The Love System range are the winners of the Natural Health International Beauty Awards 2015, which is pretty impressive! The Organic Calm and Clear Spray mist is available at Chikii.
SKLEER is a natural skin restoration gel made with natural essential oils.
Australian owned. Developed by an international medical research organisation in South Africa, SKLEER was created with safe ingredients so every member of the household can use it, from toddlers to grandparents. Using a unique patent pending gel formulation which carries the herbal ingredients rapidly into the skin, it helps skin to regenerate and improve appearance. The essential oils in the gel which help to reduce itching and heal skin irritations are eucalyptus oil, tea tree oil, caraway oil and cinnamon oil, all of which are renowned for their amazing soothing and healing properties. This gel arrived at the right time for me, as the day before I had several huge mosquito bites which were very itchy. As soon as I opened the gel I applied the gel to the bites for some instant relief. The gel also clears pimples and black heads and reduces the appearance of age spots. The scent is earthy and pleasing and smells very clean, you are much better off using this natural gel on your skin than all of those chemical creams and sprays which claim to heal your skin, but makes skin very dry. SKLEER gel leaves skin soft, non sticky and has a fresh feel to it. For anyone who suffers from acne, skin irritions such as eczema and allergy rashes, blisters, cuts , burns or even just to relieve the itch and sting of insect bites, this should be your go to gel to treat yourself naturally. It's very economical, a little dab on problem areas seems to do the trick quite quickly. Paraben free and dermatologically approved. Available at SKLEER. I received the product mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. Aromababy was the worlds first natural and organic baby skin care range, created 20 years ago! Over the past few months I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to try a few of their products. Australian made, all natural, certified organic skincare designed for babies and mums, or even if you’re not a mum, these products are so gentle on the skin, you might want to use them too, as I did. Founder Catherine Cervasio has personally hand picked each ingredient, making sure that only the most gentle and safe ingredients are used. Particularly good for babies with sensitive skin who are prone to eczema. Select products contain pure, essential oils to soothe and calm whilst others for super-sensitive skin contain no essential oils, as suggested by some baby health experts. The products which contain essential oils have a subtle natural scent, enough of a fragrance to feel nice, yet not overpowering. Some 'natural' products have a scent that is too strong and as soon as I open some I feel I wouldn't want to try it on my nephew's sensitive skin, but these products were different. I love the gorgeous packaging with the cute little cherub baby and swan. The products look nice displayed in the bathroom and the packaging has a 'pure' feel about it. A gentle and high quality range. Pure Baby Moisture Cream is designed for newborns, but can also be used on toddlers and adults. It doesn't contain essential oils or aroma. Nice and non-greasy, no artificial fragrances, keeps skin moist in dry weather, good for excema, dry skin and sensitive skin. It has a nice light texture and absorbs easily. The gentle properties of sweet almond oil and pure rosehip oil help keep babies skin really smooth and keeps dry flaky skin at bay. Baby Bath Gel is pure, gentle and sulphate free. It contains the lovely calm essential oils of french lavender and german chamomile. I poured this under running tap water while the bath tub was filling to make a relaxing soak. Can be used to wash babies hair as well. Fragrance is very natural. Works well on toddlers sensitive skin which is prone to eczema. It left toddlers skin feeling very soft and never had a bad reaction using this. You only need a small amount for baby to feel clean and fresh. Barrier Balm contains natural oils to soothe delicate skin and prevents nappy rash. With calendula, evening primrose, sweet almond oil and vitamin E. Can be used on dry skin, scalp and lips. It contains the healing essential oils of Rose, Neroli German Chamomile and Roman Chamomile. The aroma is beautiful and relaxing. Easy to spread on baby’s bottom, it’s a clear balm, not a thick uncomfortable looking cream. Can also be used as a healing balm and I tend to spread it on my fingers and cuticles at the same time to soften them up and protect them. Provides a light barrier. Also moisturises. It's contained in a convenient small jar which is the perfect size to fit in a nappy bag. Aromabath powder is a very soothing and subtle bath powder made with organic lavender flowers, rose petals and essential oils. It is milk free, which I really like, as I'm not keen on the idea of dry milk in baby bath products. It contains oatmeal to soothe delicate skin and leave it feeling beautiful and soft. I really like this powder, it’s very gentle on sensitive skin and seems to calm down and relieve itchy bites and stings. Also nice for mum to use as a soothing foot soak followed with barrier balm on heels. Comes in a very large jar, which means there is more for mum to pamper herself with or to have a bath with baby together. It also comes with a muslin bag which you can place the powder in and let it soak in the bath and squeeze occasionally to slowly release the powder. Mother and child massage oil was developed in consultation with members of various infant massage associations in Australia. This gentle massage oil contains natural vitamin E, calendula, evening primrose oil and sweet almond oil. Can be used in the bath or rubbed gently on to babies skin. Non-greasy, light and absorbs easily, helping to heal toddlers dry skin. Mums can also use this to soothe sore nipples and as an all over massage oil. It also feels really nice to apply it to tops of hands regularly, this would be good for mums with dry hands. A safe and effective massage oil during pregnancy. Available at Aromababy. Australian Bush Flower essences are a healing system using Australian Native Plants. Researched and developed by Ian White, an Australian Naturopath and Herbalist. The Love System was created by Paul Loveday who spent 7 years developing this healing line of skincare. Each essence is developed to help enhance and heal different aspects of your body, mind and soul. The Love System is a unique body care system which incorporates these healing essences into organic body and skin care products. Organic Sun Ripened Citrus is the beautiful refreshing scent you will notice radiating from this Uplifting Body Lotion. It is a light, natural citrus scent which is perfect for starting your day off with a positive feeling. It is fresh, clean and uplifting, but at the same time really gentle on the senses. The texture of the lotion is very light. When I applied the cream, it glided on smoothly and it absorbed quickly into my skin, leaving it feeling very smooth and soft. Suitable for all skin types, particularly for sensitive skin, as the cream is a perfect light consistency and is completely natural and organic. I have been using it every day as an all over body moisturiser and it has kept my skin feeling hydrated and smelling beautiful. The lotion contains the following bush flower essences, designed to invigorate your body and awaken your consciousness. Each essence works on balancing your emotions and helps to create enthusiasm, openness, gentleness, trust and acceptance. The Flower Essences are - Baknsia Robur , Billy Goat Plum, Five Corners, Flannel Flower, Mulla Mulla Old Man Banksia, She Oak and Wisteria. I've already been using the Love System Purifying Cream Cleanser and am so glad to have this body lotion added into my Love System collection. Created in New Zealand. Some of the ingredients sound so delicious they're almost good enough to eat - the creme contains an antioxidant rich organic raspberry water base, moisturising avocado and macadamia nut oils, native NZ kawakawa extract, soothing elderflower, chamomile and Vitamin E. I’ve been testing this tan out for a while and found that it really suits my skin tone, it looks very natural. I have very fair skin and the tan turned out to be a beautiful sun kissed colour. Depending on how often you apply it, you can have a light tan or a dark tan. I tried it all over, on my arms, legs, stomach and face. I’m always very careful at first in case I end up with orange streaks, but that didn’t happen with this tan. The light textured creme blended into and absorbed into my skin very easily, no hint of leaving anything behind on the the bed sheets, it takes around 8 hours to develop. It also has a lovely, light natural scent of certified organic Geranium Oil. I'm happy to recommend this tan to anyone who wants a natural looking tan without the use chemicals or having to expose your skin to the dangers of sun-baking. Kiri Natural Tan gives a very nice healthy looking tan and I now use it regularly. It's best to exfoliate first to remove dead skin and moisturise your skin daily to help your tan last longer. No synthetic ingredients and no animal testing. You can purchase Kiri Organics Natural Tan at Chikii. Purchase a full size gradual or natural dark tan and receive an exfoliating mitt for free! For a period of two weeks only. Ever since I tried a Dead Sea Mineral body scrub years ago, I’ve always been attracted to dead sea products, the minerals seem so rich and pure. It's been a while since I’ve tried a mud mask, I was pleasantly surprised by the light texture of this mask, it wasn’t too thick and didn't become cracked as it was drying. The 3 main powerful ingredients are Dead Sea Mud, Vitamin C and Aloe Vera. The mud mask draws out toxins, which is really good for oily and acne prone skin. It definitely made my face less oily, without drying it out, it actually made my skin feel very smooth and soft. I used the mask once a week, as that seemed to do a great job of balancing my skin. It is deep cleansing, removes dead skin cells, tightens pores, draws out impurities and dirt. The mask has a light natural scent. 100 percent natural ingredients. It had a great detoxifying effect. Easy to wash off. Perfect for oily/combination skin and acne prone skin. The other ingredients are -
The tube is quite large and will last a very long time, it's very affordable for the high quality feel of the mask. You can purchase the Dead Sea Mud Mask online at Cleopatra's Choice. |
