The more we think about similarities between our dogs and ourselves, the more we realize that we're not that different. We're both affectionate beings and show that very clearly when we interact with one another at different times, we both love a tasty meal that satisfies our taste buds and keeps us coming back for more, and we can both have our fair share of devastating effects on the environment and Mother Earth at times. Now sure, I know what you're thinking "how in the world can an innocent dog be harming the environment?". And that's true, it's actually not the responsibility of the dog as much as it is the responsibility of their owner to be aware of anything their dog is doing that's harming the environment or any dog-related practices the owner is taking part in that also may be harming the environment, since dogs obviously can't make informed decisions on their own like we do. So it's up to us, as responsible dog owners, to get educated on the issue and take any necessary steps we can to limit these negative effects. Seeing that Earth Day is upon us, just as the case is on April 22 of every year, the topic of today's post is going to be about tips all dog owners can implement to be kind individuals to the environment around them, no matter where they are in the world. Now now, before you go clicking off this page because you think to yourself "I can never go through all that effort, I'm busy already as it is!" - worry not, as you only have to be careful about a couple of things here and there and you'll already be 90% ahead of everyone else. So have a look at the infographic I've shared with you below, see what steps you can start implementing right now, compose a plan to start implementing the other steps as you go, and share it with a friend so we can all become more responsible dog owners this Earth Day!
