Before you know it, the colder seasons are going to be long forgotten and your cracked and weary skin will be in urgent need of some recovery. When spring finally arrives and shines upon us with its warm sun rays and the soft wind fondles our skin, it will be time to step up the game and take some appropriate measures. So until we welcome spring once again, it is best to learn how to properly nourish our skin so it would be glowing by the time you can say regular skin care! And here is how to do that:

Protect and Serve

We all know that prevention is the best medicine. Keeping this in mind, make sure to remember to protect your skin from those harmful UV rays. Do not be fooled by the overcast weather, because these rays can affect your skin either way. So always remember to apply a natural sunscreen whenever you are going out so you would be sure that you are keeping your skin safe. Strong sun can cause brown spots, deep lines, wrinkles, but also skin cancer. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Exfoliation Is the Key

You never know how much dirt and dead cells can pile up on your skin during these long and weary seasons. Because of this, you should know that exfoliation is the key to every regular skin routine. This means that you should exfoliate at least once a week, in order to bring your skin back to life. Of course, exfoliating applies to the whole body, not just your face. Be sure to use a quality exfoliating scrub or a loofah, as some less quality ones could cause irritations to severely sensitive skin.

Rehydrate For Recovery

One of the most important aspects of every skin care routine is remembering to keep your skin moisturized and hydrated. You might have noticed that during these few colder months your skin has become dry and cracked at certain places. This is mostly because the cold weather dries out the skin and it is not getting sufficient amounts of water. Because of this, it is important to drink lots of water in these transition months and to remember to use products that additionally moisturize the skin.

Eat Healthy and Plenty

Another thing that is mostly neglected by people is to make certain changes in the diet plan. Most of us are used to eating heavy and fat foods during autumn and winter. But in order to prep your skin for spring it is important to make some alterations in your nutrition. Make sure to implement some vitamin rich foods that will boost your immune system and nourish your skin. Also, eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables that are rich in water so you would additionally hydrate your body. Antioxidant rich foods will also help you detox your body and rid it from all the piled up toxins.

Choose Your Products Wisely

When it comes to the products you use on daily basis, what is crucial is to rely on natural-based products that nurture your skin and help it recover in the best possible way. Try to stay away from products that contain alcohol or other chemicals that might dry out your skin even more or cause other skin conditions. Make sure to choose something suitable for your skin type like asap skin products that are designed to revitalise your skin and give it proper care.

When spring finally arrives, make sure to welcome it with arms wide open and skin shining brightly. Keep in mind that every skin type is different and that you should nourish your skin accordingly. Do not hesitate to consult with a dermatologist so you would get all the needed information about proper care for your skin.

Babs Bodycare Natural Deodorant Paste - Review

Babs Deodorant is a natural creme deodorant.  I have tried so many different deodorants over the years and to be honest many natural deodorants haven’t worked too well for me, so I was pleasantly surprised that this unique deodorant creme  was powerful enough to prevent underarm odour, using gentle ingredients.

I’ve been using this deodorant in the middle of summer in very hot and humid weather. I’ve been wearing it to work, going to yoga class, to the beach, walking around the park and by the end of the day I don’t have any smelly armpits!

The creme works by killing the bacteria under your arm pit, you still sweat naturally, but you don’t get any sweaty smells.

This is actually a paste and all you do is take a tiny bit on your fingers and rub it underneath your arms.  This type of deodorant has worked really well for me, I hadn’t tried a paste before, wasn’t sure what to expect, but I think it's great.

The consistency of the paste changes a little bit, depending on the temperature, if it’s really hot weather the paste won’t be as thick, but it doesn’t matter, it works just as effectively.  You can always place it in the fridge to make it firm again.

Babs deodorant comes in two different scents, tea tree and lavender.  I tried the tea tree oil and it has a nice fresh, clean scent.

We all know about the dangers of aluminium and parabens in chemical based deodorants, particularly with links to breast cancer, that’s why I’ve avoided using those products for years. I had been using a crystal stick, but find this paste much more effective.   I can safely wear this to work.   As I deal with many people during the day, I don’t have to worry about sweating when I’m under pressure.

I also find this creme very soothing to my skin, I haven't experienced any stinging after shaving.  Another problem I’ve had with some deodorants is they would stain my clothes, but not this one.

I like the glass jar, I always prefer glass to plastic products, it's environmentally safe and better for our health.

I'm really happy with this deodorant, I think this will work well, even for men in physical labour jobs. For me it works even better than mainstream deodorants, without the nasty chemicals.

These are the ingredients -  Coconut oil (Cocos nucifera), Shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii), (naturally mined) Sodium Bicarbonate, Arrowroot, Cocoa butter (Theobroma cacao), Beeswax (Cera flavia), Tea tree oil (Melaleuca terntifolia).

All very safe ingredients and nourishing to our skin.

Babs Bodycare is an Australian based company, all of their products are handmade in Melbourne.  Their products are 100 percent natural, organic and chemical free.

Babs deodorant is available at Babs Bodycare.
