By: Lex Golez Whipped body butter is popular among skin care enthusiasts particularly in moisturising, hydrating, and treating dry skin. It is considered as more luxurious than the regular body lotion because of its thicker consistency and ability to retain moisture in skin for a longer period of time.
Rose Hibiscus is one of the most preferred whipped body butter by skin care experts and people who are determined in achieving a healthier and moisturised skin. Measure out the almond oil in a medium-sized bowl. 2. Add in the coconut oil. 3. Add some drops of hibiscus tea on the mixture for colouring. You may add more to achieve your desired colour. 4. Add some drops of Rose absolute essential oil to add fragrance on the mixture. As for this mixture, we used about 8 drops. 5. Using a stand mixer, start whipping for approximately 10 minutes or until the mixture becomes fluffy and forms peaks. Beating the mixture requires a bit of patience. So just be patient and continue whipping until you finally achieved the right consistency. Sugared Rose Petals Sugared rose petals are used as decoration for the whipped body butter. However, the following directions are optional. If you don’t want to add these to the mixture, then you’re done. But if you wish to have these, you may follow the following steps: 6. Mix the 2 tablespoons of white sugar and 2 tablespoons of water in a pan. Boil and stir the mixture until the sugar is caramelised. Allow the syrup to cool down and dip the rose petals into it. 7. Sprinkle the rose petals with white sugar and allow it to dry overnight. Top the rose hibiscus whipped body butter with rose petals and enjoy! Chateau Ambiance, an Australian made luxury spa brand, have a created a deliciously scented raw sugar body scrub. Channeling the luxurious nature of France’s best chateaus and spas, I love anything French, so if a product can make me feel as though I'm in a luxurious French spa, this is for me! The scent used in this scrub is Tahitian Vanilla, an exotic scented vanilla which smells so beautiful. This is an incredible aroma, I keep it in my shower and after I use it the scent just fills up my bathroom making it smell so nice and comforting, the aroma is a creamy vanilla with a touch of coconut. So warm and tropical. Using the scrub feels quite invigorating and it feels great for my skin circulation. The raw sugar scrub is very effective in removing dry skin, but at the same time it's very gentle, as the oil combination of organic coconut oil and rice bran oil actually moisturises my skin and leaves it feeling really soft. I like how it removes flaky skin, but at the same time keeps it feeling supple. Rice bran oil has deep moisturizing abilities, due to it’s Vitamin E content and fatty acids. Combined with the skin benefits of coconut oil, which works as a deep cleanser, removing toxins and is also a deep moisturiser, helping to heal irritated skin. The fine texture of the organic raw sugar exfoliates skin gently without leaving harmful residue. The natural glycolic acid in sugar actually helps to regenerate skin and moisturize skin, so yes, sometimes sugar can be our friend! I've been using this scrub every day, sometimes twice a day and find it to be very luxurious and great for sensitive skin. I can see this scrub being used in chic organic beauty salons, it gives me a very pampered feeling, but is a lot more affordable! Available at Chateau Ambiance. |
