Purely You Minerals - Review

Purely You Minerals is a handmade mineral makeup line created by Joy Atkinson.  Joy struggled with her own skin problems and was tired of cakey make-up which contained toxic chemicals, so decided she would make her own line of natural toxin free cosmetics using high quality, natural and nourishing ingredients.  

I have tried three products from this line and I think they are of a high quality, very well made and affordable. Purely You Minerals have really tried hard to cater to all skin types. The amazing prices of the entire range make it easy for people to use these healthy and natural cosmetics, which is something I really appreciate, as the products will suit most peoples budget. 

Luscious Lip Color - Dawn 

This vegan lip color contains all natural ingredients including natural vitamins and minerals to keep lips moisturised.  Dawn is a natural pink lip color.  Pink is my favourite shade for lips and this is a very subtle dusty pink which I love.   It is quite long lasting and non sticky. This is a handy lip colour to keep in my handbag, as it can be worn both day and night.  It contains rosehip oil, jojoba oil and shea butter, which gives it a smooth texture and helps to soothe dry lips.   It gives a very healthy and sheer look.

Foundation - Neutral Fairly Medium N4

​If you haven’t used mineral foundation before, you’re missing out!   This is a loose powder foundation which covers imperfections and redness, but it doesn’t look like I’m wearing make-up, which is what we really want when we wear foundation.  I apply this once in the morning and that’s it!, it has great staying power and feels light and breathable.  The minerals in the foundation work with your skins natural PH.   This colour blended very well with my skin tone and it also contains an SPF 15.  It gives a nice matte finish.

Blush - Petal Pressed 

I am loving this blush!   It suits my fair skin, doesn’t look too bright and gives my cheeks a nice lift. I was recently on vacation and I took this blush with me. Even when I had a bit a of a sun tan and my skin tone changed it looked great. This pink colour is beautiful, I found it to be long wearing and gave my face a nice contour.
This blush makes me look like I have a bit of natural, healthy  colour in my cheeks. The texture is soft. The shea butter, coconut and jojoba give it an extra silkiness.
